MINI-VIDEO

Hi!

I'll post today a video concerning Jun Mochizuki's drawing style I made based on the Pandora Hearts: There Is artbook and the Vanitas no Carte volumes I own. I hope you like it!

ENTRADA LIBRE-4 (Chapter 37 review)

Hi, my beloved readers!

There's one thing I haven't done yet, and that's what I'm going to post today: it's a chapter review! Since the last chapter was released not so long ago, it is a great opporunity.

I'll start!

The chapter continues with a flashback that was left unfinished in the previous chapter. We can see how Jeanne kept her promise and went to see Chloé, although it wasn't how they expected to meet
each other after that many years. She asked to be killed. Then, she retreated when she heard no answer to her request from Jeanne, leading her body towards Gévaudain's cliff, and finally falling off the edge. It was saddening to see how distressed Jeanne looked, since she had really looked forward to meeting her!

We could see how the malnomen tried to fool her at that time, but we discovered that she was the one who used Naenia in order to erase it! It wanted her to erase Gévaudain in a blink of an eye with a strange machine, that could alterate the world's formula, she owned (by the way, Jun Mochizuki did a great job drawing it!). It tuned out she used the device to materialize the malnomen Naenia, thus making the protagonists be able to attack it. She explained that she would never be able to destroy the people who inhabited there, swearing it for her family's name (the d'Apichiers).

However, she explained that she would take revenge for having her friend Jean Jacques twisted around its fingers. She described herself as a "terribly jealous woman."

There was even a scene where we could see a shocked Vanitas when he heard that he had to look through rows and rows of books if he wanted to find his stolen book!

Noo Vanitas, don't be rude to Noé!
It's time for me to leave. I hope you don't get your name defiled!
Since he hasn't (almost) appeared
on this chapter, I'll post a drawing of Noé.
Credits to the original artist!

NOTICIA RECIENTE (Vanitas no Carte has been licensed in Spain!)

Hiya there, my dear readers!

Yup, it's just as you've read: Norma Editorial is bringing Vanitas no Carte to Spain!

Some months ago, I requested a translation of this manga for varios reasons. First of all, because Jun Mochizuki is my favourite manga artist and I really loved her most famous work (so it's a good opportunity for manga lovers to get to know her). Secondly, a friend of mine really enjoys the series, and I'm only able to buy her some volumes when I go abroad. It's not the same as reading it online, of course (you should also support the oficial release)! Another reason is that Vantas no Carte fans have requested numerous times for the manga to be translated into Spanish, so it would be great if their request was fulfilled.

As described in the following link (a not only manga news website), Norma Editorial had a surprise awaiting for us at 37 Cómic Barcelona, a special event for those ones who love this kind of books as well as Japanese culture.
Their pleadings were finally heard and taken into account!

Here's a summary of the news that were released at the event. It's Norma Editorial's official website.

Before leaving, I'll post here a Vanitas no Carte special (bonus page, usually found on the last pages). I hope you like it!

Don't let the chasseurs or the beast of Gévaudain tail you~☆!

ENTRADA LIBRE-3 (Own translation)

Hi!

Today I'll be posting a page which has been released on this month's chapter. I know it's a bit late, but I am posting it anyways.

Just when Gangan Joker's Twitter account showed us the raw scans of some pages we'll be reading this month, I sent it to a friend. She asked me to translate it, and I wanted to show it to you.

It might not be interesting to you (beacuse the translation has already been released) or accurate since I have never studied Japanese, but it holds a special meaning for me. I know how to read hiragana and some kanjis (the simplest ones), and I was able to translate the text except for Vanitas' first intervention (whose translation I compared on different websites).

It was the first time I managed to do something like that, and I felt very proud of myself at that time.

I'll post my translation and the raw scan beside. If you find any mistakes, I'd be glad if you told me!

See you!

Here's another official art!

ENTRADA LIBRE-2 (Vanitas no Carte & Pandora Hearts comparison)

Hi!

Today, I'll be posting about the similarities between two of the most popular manga Jun Mochizuki has published: Pandora Hearts and Vanitas no Carte.

Whilst some fans hate it when some others relate the two stories, I think it's not a bad idea to bond them in some way. We can appreciate both drawing styles, and the similar pespectives in which the scene was made. I know that they belong to two separate realities, but since we saw Oz waving goodbye and Vanitas stepping in in the oficial art, in my opinion it would be interesting to see them both together.

Without further ado, I'll start!

Does this scene look familiar? That's what I was referring to when I wrote the word perspective. Although the characters are envolved in different situations, the scene in the strip has been drawn from the same angle. It's quite difficult to do that, but the results are magnificent.

Here, a fan zoomed on the strip and found that there are Pandora Hearts' characters on the newspapers! As far as I know, both stories take place in the XIX century. The author explained that Vanitas no Carte is developed in France, and she had previously revealed during an interview that Pandora Hearts takes place in England. Since the characters appear on the newspapers, could we infere that they both are simultaneous?

Finally, I'd like to delve in a strip that was hilarious to me. When Noé and Vanitas were sneaking in the catacombs, they happened to encounter a chasseur, Roland, the Sixth Paladin. They couldn't let him know who they truly were, so Vanitas chose to address himself as "Vincent", thus calling Noé "Gilbert". That was really something!

Having nothing else to add, I'll take my leave just after showing you three sketches from the Café.

Bye bye~☆!

ENTRADA LIBRE-1 (PandoraHearts & Vanitas no Carte Café Collaboration!)

Today, I'll be writing about a special event that took place some months ago.

From 4/4/2018 to 10/6/2018 there was a café in Ikebukuro that held a Pandora Hearts and Vanitas no
Carte event. People were able to have a good time along with family and friends, and feel free to
order some cakes and sweets. Some of them even had the chance to meet Jun Mochizuki, the author!

There was a panel made up of several pages
from the manga, a blackboard with some doodles,
and even  cardboard Elliot and Leo!
Some fans drew and sketched something for the author,
praising and thanking her for her Works.

Jun Mochizuki also released her last art book, which goes the third after two Pandora Hearts' ones: Odds&Ends and There is.

It was a special opportunity to buy some merchandising fom the series, whose goods went from key chains to badges, and even figures!

Thanks to its popularity, it reopened from 22/2/2019 to 6/3/2019

You can find more pictures under the hashtag #パンヴァニカフェ, and on the official website https://pandora-vanitas-cafe.com.

I wish I had been there to see it!

Well, I can just hope that by the time I visit Japan they will organise again the café.

See ya'!

Whoops, they're stepping on Jack!

ENTRADA CON VIDEO (Posting a video)

Hi there, fans!

Today I'll post a video on the blog. It's an official PV (promotional video), made by Square Enix to advertise in Japanese the manga. Albeit it has only subtitles in Japanese, the images express what the words convey; and it's very visual. I really recommend watching it, it's worth your time!

ENTRADA CON IMAGEN (Post with image)

Good afternoon!

Today I'll post an image. It's official, and from the first chapter. Although it is the first chapter of the series, the author did a splendid job, didn't she? Authors don't tend to draw as good as Jun did in the beginning. But don't forget that she impressed us before with Pandora Hearts! I hope you'll like it

I'll be going for now. Make sure that you
don't get caught in Altus!

BIENVENIDA (Welcome!)
